We are seeking an individual to join the acoustics team in our San Francisco office.
We are seeking an individual to work on building acoustics issues such as Room Acoustics, Environmental Noise Assessment, Sound Isolation, and HVAC System Noise and Vibration Control to perform a wide variety of tasks in both large and small projects. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as is a solid understanding of acoustic principles and their real-world applications. The ability to think creatively to solve problems and to manage time and responsibilities are also important attributes. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field of architecture, science or engineering is generally required.

RSG’s environment, energy and acoustics (EEA) practice uses advanced analytic and modeling methods to provide clients with customized and cutting edge solutions in the fields of air quality, acoustics and energy modeling. Through these specialties, RSG serves a committed base of regional and national clients. Significant growth of this client base has resulted in the need for a new associate in our acoustics practice.
This associate will be involved in all aspects of the firm's architectural acoustics and environmental noise work, including field monitoring, computer modeling and analysis, report writing, and presentation of results. We seek someone with the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, acoustics, or a related scientific field
• Work experience preferred in the field of acoustics analysis
• Quantitative aptitude, strong technical abilities and good communication skills
• CAD experience is preferred

For more than 50 years, Jaffe Holden has been a world leader in the field of acoustic design for performing arts, entertainment, and museum facilities. The firm provides services in architectural acoustics, audio & video, information technology, and security systems design. We are seeking an individual with at least 5 years experience in architectural acoustics consulting to join the team in our growing Norwalk, CT office.
The position will involve project management and support of other project managers on a wide range of project types and sizes. Typical functions will include analyses of room acoustics, sound isolation, building systems (MEP) noise and vibration, and environmental noise; field observations and measurements; preparation of reports, memoranda, and drawings details; and direct interaction and coordination with clients and other Jaffe Holden team members.
The successful candidate will have a B.S. in engineering, architecture, or other related field; strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; and proficiency with MS Office and AutoCad.
